Hootie-hoo!

I am watching, crossing my fingers and bugging out my eyes in solidarity. If she's good enough for Jacques Pepin, she's good enough for me.

No, but...

I'm in bed (or, to be more precise, in couch) with a bad cold and just caught up on The Hills. Is that so wrong? Yeah, we're down to basic cable. You know, doing our part for the economic meltdown. Sad, b/c I've heard good things about True Blood and Dexter. S. did however catch Jennifer Carpenter's turn in Quarantine.

The heart of the matter

Have you been watching "Dexter"? It may have jumped the shark but the insanity is alluring nonetheless. If you haven't seen this season yet, I can bring it with me when I see you next month.

Not Done Crying

from last night. I realized today that in addition to the insane amount of phonebanking of the last few weeks, my main two contributions to Obama's victory were: 1. my lucky jeans (I ended up pulling some sort of James Carville-inspired superstitious stunt by wearing the same pants every day for uh...a while) and 2. my PMS, which may have provided some of the fuel behind the Fillmore District Phonebank in SF ("you will call racist voters in Iowa and Missouri until you lose your voice, BITCH!!!!"). Last night was crazy. I was hugging strangers. Someone lit up a joint on the bus home. I high-fived with my newly reelected city supervisor (Green Party, natch).

Anyway, yep, Prop 8 is in the bag. SF Chronicle reports that we've already filed a suit challenging it today. I'm pissed because the No campaign may have ignored central California, which is pretty much like central PA, if you know what I mean.

WE WON!

WE WON!WE WON!WE WON!WE WON!WE WON!WE WON!WE WON!WE WON!

I've lost my voice from screaming in the streets of West Philly with a group of lesbian former nuns. Good night all in all.

Any news on prop 8?
